Job Duties: Analyze data in a fast-paced, data-driven environment to apply scientific methods and quantitative approaches to solve real-world analytical problems. Develop best practices for instrumentation and experimentation and communicate those to product engineering teams. Build and prototype analysis pipelines iteratively to provide insights at scale. Develop comprehensive knowledge of data structures and metrics, advocate for changes where needed for product development. Work cross-functionally to build and communicate key insights, and collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and researchers to build the next experiences on Pinterest. Develop software applications or programming for statistical modeling and data visualization. Design analytics projects that apply valid scientific techniques, and use information obtained from baselines or historical data to structure uncompromised and efficient analyses. Develop and test experimental designs, sampling techniques, and analytical methods. Telecommuting is permitted.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline.
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Python; (2) SQL; (3) R; (4) Experimentation; (5) Data Analytics; (6) Data Visualization; (7) Predictive Analytics; (8) Data Management; (9) Statistical Modelling; and (10) Data Pipeline Creation and Maintenance. Telecommuting is permitted. Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.
Salary: $168,318.00 - $209,296.00 per annum.
